How to use the Coravin Pivot

INTRO: THE CORAVIN PIVOT

First things first, the Coravin Pivot is designed to keep your wine as fresh as the day you opened it for up to 4 weeks. It will preserve your wine’s appearance, aroma, and flavour.

You can use the Pivot on any bottle: screw cap or cork, anything between 75cl and 150cl (it is not designed to work with larger format bottles).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• A bottle of wine

• A corkscrew (unless it is a screw cap)

• Your Coravin Pivot

• An Coravin Pure Capsule

HOW TO USE STEP BY STEP:

It’s very simple! Open, insert, tip, and pour!

1) Open your bottle of wine by removing the cork with a corkscrew or by unscrewing the cap.

2) Replace the cork or screw cap with the Pivot Stopper. Make sure the Stopper is open and that the neck of the bottle and the Stopper (silicone rings) are both completely dry, this is to ensure a tight seal inside the neck of the bottle.

3) Insert the Pivot through the Stopper until it clicks into place.

4) Tilt the bottle and press and hold the button on the device (over a wine glass, mug, jar, or whatever you want to drink out of, there is no judgment here).

5) Once you have filled up your glass, release the button and wait for the wine to stop pouring.

6) Bring the bottle upright and remove the device by pulling it straight up and off. Immediately close the Stopper cap and voila!

HOW TO REPLACE THE GAS CAPSULE

1) Unscrew the capsule cup

2) Wipe the threads on the device and capsule cup with a damp lint-free cloth

3) Insert the Coravin Pure Capsule into the capsule cup, round end first and screw the cup back onto the device until tight.

4) Quickly press and release the button to release a short bust of gas

Voila, your Coravin Pivot is ready to use!
